The spreadsheet with all dates & venues of the shows
We use a spreadsheet with all informations on previous and upcoming concert dates :
Currently the spreadsheet is located on the sharepoint. It is in the promotion/tour dates directory.
The first spreadsheet is the only one who needs to be edited (please don’t edit the COUNTRIES spreadsheet). The informations on this spreadsheet are :
- The date of the show (format DD/MM/YYYY) Please be careful with the format, the usual American MM/DD/YYYY format is not supported !
- The band
- The Country of the show. You can select the country in a scroll menu, autocompletion is supported :
- The Code of the country. This field is without value by default. As soon as a valid country is selected, the corresponding country code will appear in this field. This field should not be manually edited.
- The city of the show
- The venue of the show (If no venue is known you should fill this with TBA or something similar ; this information is mandatory).
- An URL for tickets (Optionnal)
- A field for other informations (Optionnal)
How to upload the spreadsheet on the interface
Please follow this step by step process to automatically update the website using the interface.
- Open the interface and login
- The process starts here :
- A file explorer window will pop up, asking you to select your spreadsheet :
- The process of updating will auto-launch. In case of an error in the spreadsheet, a pop-up window will open, explaining you which lines/columns are invalid. In this case the process won’t complete and you would have to repeat it. After checking the data, there is a process of upload to the server and an auto-update of the season website. A pop-up window will tell you the whole process has been succesfully executed. Depending on the data set and the load of the site this might take a few minutes.
- Please understand that this a one-way process. You should NEVER update manually the website as your modifications will be deleted the next time you (or an admin) updates the site from the spreadsheet.
